5 hacks to reduce tipi wedding overwhelm

April 8, 2026
If event planning is not your thing, then organising a celebration of any size can be a bit daunting. Let alone if it’s your own wedding day! And so with that in mind, every Tuesday we bring you some insider tips on Instagram to help you have the best day at our relaxed, tipi wedding venue (and hopefully reduce your pre-wedding stress levels!)
Here’s a taster of what you can expect:
1. Make it all about you as a couple – don’t forget it’s your forever memory, not anybody else’s. So you do you and don’t worry about upsetting the mother-in-law!
2. Trust your suppliers – the suppliers you choose have experience and, if they’re one from our recommended list, they will also know our tipi wedding venue well. Trust in the process as these guys have done it before and they’re experts in their field (and our orchard). Don’t be scared to ask questions, whether you think it’s silly or not.
3. Decor – have a think about what you can hire in rather than buy? It’s a more sustainable option and you have less to clear the next day when you might be feeling a bit delicate! It also means you don’t have to store it all again or have the hassle of selling it.
Have a think what you can reuse and repurpose from your ceremony area/church service. If you are working with a florist/stylist – invite them to visit the venue so they can visualise the space and give you ideas for the tipis and what is seasonal.
4. Day plan and timings – we run through this with you to reduce the overwhelm and put together a day plan with you.
5. Allocate on-the-day jobs – as you don’t want to be at the venue on the morning of your big day (trust me). Instead, you want to be spending precious time with your bridesmaids and slurping fizz while being pampered. Enjoy that moment as it is really special and will help to relax you into your big day. It’s all about you, so enjoy having your hair and make-up done and leave the morning jobs to someone else…that you trust.
Tune in every week for Tuesday Tipi Tips on Instagram, your wedding day sanity will thank me.
